One of the things that I do is I teach concepts.
Concepts and applying them, the concepts from one industry or one thing to another industry or another thing.
So an example would be applying a concept from a game to everyday life. Applying a concept from a game to everyday life.
So let's use this as an example. I was playing a game the other day and for the understanding of the game it's a matching game and I needed to match and you have a certain amount of moves to do your matching.
At the end of the game if you don't do all your matches within the amount of moves, let's say 25 moves, then you have to pay for some coins or use some coins to get five more moves. So I went through the game, didn't get to the end, I got to the end of the round, I didn't win the round and I needed to buy some more coins. I wasn't able to earn them so I had to buy them. Now at the time that I needed to buy them they made me an offer for basically $6.99 for 4,000 coins just for the conversation.
Normally I can get 3,000 coins for $3.99 which is a $3.00 savings. So the coins end up costing me less per coin if I buy them at the $3.99. But the $3.99 offer is before you start the game. So before you start the game you can buy them cheaper. Once you lose the hand and you need them in the middle of the game then they cost more.
So the choice is lose that hand and have to start over wherever you have to start over or pay more because of where you are in the middle of the game. Even though you know you can get them cheaper if you're going to lose that hand, I chose to pay more so that I can win that hand.
I understood the differences in the prices.
I knew that I should have bought them beforehand but I thought I could win the hand without the extra moves and I was wrong.
Well, how many times in life do we make decisions that we end up being wrong with and it will cost us more to win that hand.
That hand of life.
That day of life.
It could be a job. It could be an event you're going to. It could be anything. But it costs you more because you didn't do something in advance.
Do we complain about it costing more?
Do we learn a lesson?
Do we follow the lessons in the future?
All kinds of different choices we have available by what we choose to do but all of those are our choices.
So use the lessons that you learn to do better in the future.
Will I pay $6.99 in the future for coins? Of course I will.
Why?
Because something may be going on in that game at that moment for that level that I'm willing to pay the extra $3. Even though I know I could save the $3 if I did it in advance, the hope, the desire, the thought that I can beat the system, which I do sometimes, that I can beat the system and not need to buy any [pause]
Who you hire matters. 8,242 homes sold. That's a billboard that I just passed.
[unpause] The desire that I can beat the system is always there.
So you can do better.
You can pre-plan, but you have to understand life is not perfect.
Life is not perfect...works. Let's see. I'm pulling up forward, pulling up forward, pulling up forward, and a little bit more, a little bit more ... this one's not working. So it's not working. I can assume sometimes early in the morning the one on the right hand side won't work. For whatever reason, whatever their setup is, it won't work. Is it a big deal in the middle of this recording? No. I had the extra minute, extra minute for my route to give it a try. So now I know it didn't work. Tomorrow morning, if I go through the car wash first thing in the morning, will I go to the right again? Will I wait until always going to the right only in the afternoon? Or will I trust? Will I trust? Right hand side didn't work. The right hand side didn't work. Okay, thank you. You're welcome. See, let the guy know right hand side of the car wires didn't work.
So in this recording, in this recording, I did a couple of different points, but the main point that I'm making is you can plan, you can plan, you can plan for things in life, but those plans don't always work the way you want them to work.
You have to be able to adjust, you have to be willing to adjust, and you got to just let it go.
Let go, let go, let go, and make things work the way they happen in front of you.
Rico here, ... later.
