From debating social issues to writing books instead

As I was creating my audio, Planning for Retirement Beyond Social Security Uncertainty, what went through my mind was that I think about a lot of different things while I'm laying in bed. I lay in bed, think about things, make my audios. Some of the titles, or a couple of other titles that I did this morning while laying in bed were The Decline of Work Ethic from Parenting to Employment, Pizza Pickup and the Frustrated Server with Too Many Plates, Living in Reality, Probable vs. Possible.

When I think about the different things that I think about, I used to have these discussions with people when I was in my 20s and 30s. I'd have the discussions, I'd give my opinions, I'd do this, I'd do that, and I would actually debate with people, value systems. But I've come to the conclusion now as a baby boomer that so many people have their own opinion and they think that they should be able to do what they want to do. Well, we live in a society where you're supposed to do what benefits the society, as a baby boomer, believe that.

So all these individual opinions and doing what you want to do, because I even saw a person on social media complaining that a job was making them wear a certain kind of shoe and they said the job should get with the program. This person says the job should get with the program because this person does not want to wear the dress code that the job is requiring. Then I was talking to somebody else and they were mentioning to me how they have an employee that won't even show up on time, but yet because they are having a hard time hiring people, they can't even let the employee go because there's nobody out there that wants to work.

Hearing stories like that, thinking about how I used to would debate those issues with other people. This is 2025 and I decided I'm not going to have these debates with people anymore. Because of AI and because of the ease of self-publishing, I'm just going to write short books. I'm just going to put my opinion in a book and if I get into a potential debate with somebody about an issue, I'll go write a book about it. I'll do some research, I'll have AI put that research together for me, I'll turn it into a book and then when somebody wants to debate with me about something, all I'm going to say to them in the future is, oh, I have a book about that. Go buy my book and see what my opinion is. So either they're going to buy my book or not. I really don't care, but I choose not to argue and debate with people going further. Rico here. Later.
